It has been a while since we released a new version of our CMS. We haven't been sitting back and relaxing though. Currently version 1.8 is in development. When released this version will bring a whole host of new features. It's over all theme how ever will still be "easy to use". We have listened to your feed back and have re-worked some of our current features making them more powerful and yet easier to use.
As work on 1.8 progresses this page will be updated with new information.

It is great to be able to announce the immediate release of Living CMS 1.6. While this release is late it is comes with a ton of new features to add businesses in their Internet marketing. This release fixes 346 bugs and adds a ton of new features.
The catalogue and shopping cart received a huge amount of attention. More of our clients are wanting to sell their products on-line so we have taken their feed back and used it to enhance our e-commerce solution. A lot more enhancements are planed now as we work towards version 1.8.

We have been working with a new client recently and thanks to lots of feed back from them we have added a lot of new useability features and fixed a few bugs. Developers can often think of features but it is our end users that drive useability. Some of these changes are tiny but they can make a hugh impact on the end user.
One of the main new upcoming features is having multiple language support. This feature is being built into the 1.6 release. In the past the text was hard coded. We are now replacing this system and the changes will allow the end user to change their default language. Over time we will offer more and more language packs. This is a big job and work will continue on this through release 1.7 and probably 1.8.
We had thought that version 1.5 was going to be a big update but now 1.6 has eclipsed that with even more changes and new features. At this stage we are aiming for a realease by the end of March 2009 but this is a flexible date. It will be released when it is ready.

We are very proud to release version 1.5 of the Living CMS. While it has taken longer than expected to get to this mile stone it is a very important one. Having a centralised version of Living CMS has made it a lot easier to identify problems and fix them. Future version will benefit from this massive change.
Version 1.5 is focused on making it easier for end users to create and deploy content. Extensive testing has ensured that it is now easier than ever to maintain a website using Living CMS.
New features include :
Already we are hard at work on version 1.6 which is an enhancement of the features in version 1.5. Version 1.6 is expected to be released before the end of march 2009.

It is nice to be able to annouce a code freeze ahead of the release of version 1.5 of Living Content Management System. From now on no new features will be added. The code base is already looking good with only a few known bugs remaining. The development focus will now move to finding and fixing all bugs.
Release 1.5 is set to bring a lot of new features as well as improving existing tools. At this stage we plan on a full release in January 2009. While this is later than we had hoped we feel the extra development time has vastly improved this up coming release.

A major feature of 1.5 is going to be the centralised Living CMS backend. Currently all sites have a unique copy of Living CMS installed. While this has worked well for the past two years we decided that in the interests of stability and more features we have moved to a centralised version of Living CMS. This has been a major improvement and we have been surprised as to how smoothly this transition has been.
Version 1.5 is quickly maturing and receiving a lot of attention. Each week more and more polish is added.

As the release of DNA 1.5 gets closer we have been working hard on finishing of Web Architect. It will be the major hilight of the 1.5 release. Web Architect is now at the stage where we can begin to build all of the standard templates that come with the DNA 1.5 release.
Soon I will begin to post screen shots to show how well this technology works.

After many months of hard work the release of DNA 1.5 draws close with the reaching of a beta status. This release is mostly to fix newly found bugs but it also includes new features and functionality.
New features
The biggest new features in DNA 1.5 is the first release of Web
Architect. In future versions of the Living CMS - DNA all templates will be
designed to work with Web Architech. This will give web site owners even
more power over their sites. Stay tuned...
